(32 years old, Barcelona) - a policy and public diplomacy practitioner, with current activity in the private sector. At the moment, deputy to the President of THR Innovative Tourism Advisors (International Strategic Consulting firm), formerly Head of international bilateral relations and political advisor to the Director-General for Foreign Relations of the Government of Catalunya, Deputy Head of the Delegation of the Government of Catalunya in France, Director of the Maison de la Catalogne, International Relations Officer at the European Institute of the Mediterranean. Henar Ortega Hortigüela

(30 years, Burgos) - a journalist and communications expert with BA in Journalism and Communication Studies, and MA in Cultural Management. During her professional career she has been involved in the organisation of high-level art and cultural events, online media, broadcasting, as well as music criticism at indienauta.com. Very interested in the Digital Economy and the Entrepreneurship. Internet focused, she explores how Social Media relates to culture, contents and marketing. Nowadays she is working in the Communication Department of a Technology and Digital Arts organization in Madrid. She also works as a freelance in the Social Media Strategy and Community Management areas.

Joan Roselló Cardona

Marc Cases Martín

Elected Chair at Esplais Catalans since 2009 and responsible for international relations at Secular and Progressive Mouvement last January, Marc has developed his capacities on international relations as a Pool's of Trainers member at the European Youth Forum and being part of the external team on international relations at the National Youth Council of Catalonia. Marc has studies on statistics and he is currently an external consultant in several organisations and foundations at national level.

Dominika Bychawska-Siniarska

Lawyer, graduate of the College of Europe. She has worked in the European Court of Human Rights and in the Office of the European Integration of the Polish Government. She runs projects: "Europe of Human Rights" and "Observatory of Media Freedom" at the Helsinki Foundation for Human Rights. She is a member of the Advisory Panel of the EU Fundamental Rights Agency Civil Platform and a PhD candidate at the Polish Academy of Sciences Legal Department.


Joanna Ziółkowska

Joanna holds an M.A. degree in political science from the Nicolaus Copernicus University, Torun, Poland and M.A. in European Interdisciplinary Studies from the College of Europe, Natolin campus. Currently she follows a Ph.D. programme in political science in the Institute for Political Studies of the Polish Academy of Science and Collegium Civitas. Joanna works as an Academic Assistant at the College of Europe in Natolin. Her main fields of interest are: EU institutional system, EU legitimization, governance in the EU.

 

Kinga Brudzińska

Analyst at the Polish Institute of International Affairs. She specializes in Polish and EU democratization policy and democratic transformations in the world. She is a Phd researcher at the University of Warsaw. Her areas of interest include federal systems and democratic transformations in Latin America, especially in Mexico and Brazil.

Paweł Purski

Interested in politics, philosophy and international relations. Working in the field of EU relations with Eastern Partnership countries and Russia. Hobby: books, new technologies, social media, computer games.

 

Michał Marciniak

Expert on European founds and rural development, a lawyer, in the years 2009-11 Director of the Rural Development Department Ministry of Agriculture, worked for the Agricultural Social Insurance Fund and the Agency for Restructuring and Modernisation of Agriculture. Iskra Gerazova

I graduate 2007on the Faculty of natural sciences and mathematics - Skopje, finishing Ethnology and Anthropology, after what I enrolled in School of Public Health. In May 2012  I graduated with a Master of Public Health degree. Breadth of knowledge through academic studies including philosophy, economics, statistics, health polysies and health care management provide a solid foundation to work on this field.

Tamara Dimitrijevska

Ms. Dimitrijevska holds an MA degree in Human Rights Law from the Central European University in Budapest, Hungary and dual BA degree in European Studies; Political Science and International Relations from the American University in Bulgaria. Currently, Ms. Dimitrijevska works as Policy Analyst at Center for Research and Policy Making in Macedonia. Her professional focus is anti-discrimination.


Anne-Lise Meurier

After graduating in European studies from the Sorbonne in Paris, I first worked at the General Secretary of European Affairs (SGAE) which the unit coordinating the French positions on EU policies. I was in charge of the cohesion policy (structural funds), in particular in the context of the negotiations for the 2014-2020 financial framework. I currently work in the European Union section of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs where I am dealing with agricultural and fishery issues, oversea countries and territories, and with cohesion policy. I am also interested in the Western Balkans and enlargement issues.

Veselin Penchev

I am currently following a post-graduate program in the French National School of Administration (Ecole Nationale d'Administration).Through the years, I have had the great chance to gain some very interesting and enriching experiences, all directly or indirectly connected to EU topics. Thus, I had the opportunity to discover the functioning and specificities of the European Parliament, to acquire some skills and knowledge while working in the French embassy in Serbia, during the French Presidency of the EU in 2008 and, lastly, to spend four rewarding months in the European Anti-fraud Office (OLAF). My fields of interest and expertise are: Western Balkans - EU relations, ENP, Anticorruption policies and EU budgetary issues.


Sophie Rauszer

After a M.A in European Studies from Sorbonne Nouvelle University, I am currently working for INFH - an association helping French and Hungarian local authorities to set up common projects. At the same time I am committed to a political party which believes that social dialogue and debate between people will favour a new dawn in Europe.

 

 

Vivien Deloge

Vivien graduated from the University of Auckland with an LLM in Environmental Law and holds an LLM in International and European Law together with an MA in European Studies from the Université catholique de Louvain. Vivien is currently a Project Coordinator at WaterLex where he manages the Online Legal Database on the Human Right to Water and Sanitation.

Manuel Muniz

Manuel Muniz is a doctoral student at the University of Oxford. His field of expertise is European foreign and defence policy. He is currently working on part of his doctoral field work at the Institute Francais de Relations Internationales in Paris (IFRI). Manuel holds a JD (Law) from the Complutense University in Madrid, a Master in Finance from the IEB and a Master in Public Administration from Harvard University.


Ilze Grava

Working for Ministry of Culture, Department of Society Integration Affairs. I decided to apply for the Future EU Leaders' Academy, because I have strong interest in EU issues. Firstly, it is democracy in the EU, namely, the gap between the EU institutions and the citizens, the challenge to be more effective and closer to the citizens ensuring that the EU institutions address the concrete problems. Secondly, it is integration of Third Country Nationals in other EU member states.


Ivars Liepnieks

Ivars Liepnieks has been working at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Latvia for couple of years, now based in Brussels. He is also a PhD student at Riga Stradins University.


Sandra Bukovska

Currently the national manager of EU action eTwinning for school cooperation, previously teacher of Maths and ICT in framework of the Teach for All network. Involved with the EU issues within various institutions since 2003.

Vladlena Rudusāne

Vladlena is an aspiring lawyer from Riga, Latvia passionate about public international law, cinema and travel. She is currently obtaining Master in International and EU Law as well as working as a legal assistant at an audit firm.


Stanislavs Lopatinskis

Stanislav's main study fields in bachelor and master studies were international politics and relations. During the study period he researched topics about Turkey - Cyprus relations, EU - NATO cooperation, Russia's increasing influence in Post-Soviet area, Baltic sea region. Now he is working on my master thesis paper about Russia - NATO confidence building measures.

 

Anna Kárníková

Anna Kárníková is currently a research associate and programme manager at the representation of the Friedrich-Ebert-Stiftung in the Czech Republic, focusing on public policies, policy-making and various aspects of European integration. She obtained her master´s degree in European studies at the Faculty of Social Sciences, Charles University Prague. She also studied at the University College London and Freie Universität Berlin.


Pavel Bultas

Pavel Bultas graduated in International Politics and Diplomacy and in Commercial Law at the University of Economics, Prague. He spent part of his studies at the WHU Koblenz in Germany. In nowadays runs a mortgage brokerage company and specializes in new development projects on Prague real-estate market.


Jakub Kulhanek

Jakub Kulhanek holds an MA in Eurasian Studies from the Edmund A. Walsh School of Foreign Service at Georgetown University, Washington DC, and a BA in International Area Studies from Charles University, Prague. Jakub servers as an advisor to Jan Hamacek, Shadow Defence Minister and MP, and coordinates East-European Programmes at the Association for International Affairs (AMO), a Prague-based think tank. Jakub's regional focus is on the post-Soviet space in general and Russia in particular. His primary area of interest is Russia's policy towards NATO and the EU. Jukub's work experience includes several think-tanks and the cabinet of the EU Enlargement Commissioner.


Kryštof Kruliš

Kryštof Kruliš is an attorney-an-law practicing in the areas of International Law and Law of the European Union.  Besides his advocacy practice, Kryštof studies two PhD programmes, Pd.D. (EU Law) at Charles University in Prague and Pd.D. (International Relations and European Studies) at the Institute for International Relations and MUP. Kryštof's major areas of research are in the fields of the EU Law, International Law (including legal aspects of International Sanctions) and politico-economic relations between the Anglophone Countries and the EU. Kryštof lectures the course EU and Anglophone countries at Metropolitan University Prague.


Martin Skladal

Martin works at the Department of EU policies of the Czech Ministry of Foreign Affairs, where he deals with economic and financial issues, including the crisis of euro area. Previously, he worked at the Ministry of Finance, where he was responsible for issues related to the World Bank and International Monetary Fund.


Erich Kříž

Erich Kříž is currently involved in the NGO Mladí Demokraté (Young Democrats), which is focusing onto the young people and their attitude towards politics and policy. His stance towards EU is described by himself as follows: "I believe in strong united federalized Europe. I believe in fiscal union. I do not believe in regulations and restrictions of common free trade and ordinary life."
Jakub Janda

I work as a Project Coordinator of think-tank European Values, Advisor to the Member of Parliament and a publicist. My focus is modern political marketing and European affairs, I interned at the Czech Ministry of Foreign Affairs and currently serve at the Czech Office of Government. Nevertheless, I am still a bachelor student of two programmes - Diplomacy and International Area Studies.
